The paper must comply with the following formatting and technical editing guidelines:
- Keywords in English (minimum 5 keywords);
- Abstract in English of approximately 15 lines, including the translation of the title;
- The paper must be written with 1.5 line spacing, in Times New Roman, size 12, preferably at least 10 pages long;
- Footnotes should be written with single line spacing, using the same font, size 10;
- The article title must be written in uppercase letters, Times New Roman, size 14, bold, centered on the page;
- The author’s name(s) must be written in uppercase letters, Times New Roman, size 12, bold, centered on the page, two lines below the title;
- At the end of the article, the author must provide their full name, institutional affiliation, and email address;
- Photographs must be submitted in .jpg or .tif format, together with a list of illustrations.
Critical apparatus
- The footnote number should be placed before punctuation marks.
- When citing multiple pages, the abbreviation pp. should be used; for a single page, p.
- Titles of books, articles, volumes, and journals should appear in italics.
- When citing a work repeatedly, the title should be abbreviated reasonably, retaining the key words.
- All cited works must appear at least once in full citation in the footnotes.
- Any abbreviations (e.g., St., cent.) must be used consistently throughout the article.
- Centuries should be indicated using Roman numerals and written in full, e.g.: the 16th century.
- Periodicals should be placed in quotation marks.
Footnote format (classical system):
- First Name Last Name, Book Title, Publisher, Place, Year, p. x, fig. X (if applicable).
- Last Name, op. cit., p. x.
- First Name Last Name, Article Title, in “Journal Title”, no. x, year, p. x.
- First Name Last Name, Article Title, in First Name Last Name (ed.), “Collective Volume Title”, Publisher, Place, year, p. x.
- For documents from archival collections, cite the institution, the name of the fond or collection (in italics), file or register number, and folio number (f. for one folio, ff. for multiple folios).
